Alex is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with a Master of Counselling Psychology and an undergraduate degree in Psychology. He works with individuals struggling with addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, chronic pain, and life transitions. In addition to addiction treatment, Alex provides individual counselling and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
Alex’s experience includes working in addiction treatment, mental health counselling, athletics, and community-based care. His approach integrates evidence-based therapies including EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and person-centered therapy.
Alex believes therapy should be practical, collaborative, and tailored to each individual’s needs. He strives to create a supportive environment where clients can better understand themselves, process difficult experiences, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful change.
